The Florida Lottery announces that Billy Cooper, 67, of Orlando, claimed a $1 million prize in the 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. Cooper chose to receive the winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $700,456.56.
Cooper purchased his winning 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off ticket from Publix, located at 1921 S. Alafaya Trail in Orlando on Tuesday, his birthday. Thirty-two top prizes of $1 million and all four top prizes of $5 million remain to be won. The overall odds of winning are one in 2.86.
100X THE CASH, the Florida Lottery's biggest Scratch-Off this year, offers the best odds of winning $1 million or more of any Lottery game currently available. With more than eight million winning tickets and $460 million in cash prizes, including 40 prizes between $1 million and $5 million, it is sure to excite players.
Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery's portfolio of games, comprising approximately 60 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $575 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2012-13.
